Farewell Mybloglog!

Mybloglog has been a very special site to me. This is where i started and it is the reason why i have readers and followers now on my blogs. It serves as the platform for all newbie bloggers to meet other bloggers in the blogosphere. It was year 2007 when i became active here but after they did so many changes in their site including the changes they made on the site's interface which doesn't turn out so good because it became a bit complicated for some of it's user. I became inactive here because of that disappointment.
So surprising to received a mail last night stating that Yahoo!'s MyBloglog will be discontinued.

Here's the message from Yahoo!

Dear MyBlogLog Customer,

You have been identified as a customer of Yahoo! MyBlogLog. We will officially discontinue Yahoo! MyBlogLog effective May 24, 2011. Your agreement with Yahoo!, to the extent that it applies to the Yahoo! MyBlogLog, will terminate on May 24, 2011.

After May 24, 2011 your credit card will no longer be charged for premium services on MyBlogLog. We will refund you the unused portion of your subscription, if any. The refund will appear as a credit via the billing method we have on file for you. To make sure that your billing information is correct and up to date, visit https://billing.yahoo.com.

Well. i don't have a premium account here so i am not so affected in terms of the billing issue. I'm just wondering what would be the reason behind this discontinuation of Yahoo! Mybloglog.
Most bloggers use the system in a wrong and abusive way. They used the site mainly to promote their site and also to encourage their friends to click on their affiliate ads to earn more money from it which is ILLEGAL. Well, let see what will happen next, maybe Yahoo will come up with something new.
